OVERVIEW
Prior to creating this portfolio, Chikiin was my only creative platform. It serves as a safe space for me to share my illustration work and doubles as an Etsy store for me to sell stickers, cards, and other art prints.
The biggest challenge when creating the logo for my professional portfolio was keeping elements of Chikiin’s brand identity while also emphasizing the difference in work styles between the two.
Ultimately, I’ve settled on recycling elements of my Chikiin icon for my personal portfolio’s logo and favicon. This ambiguous shape is both clean and simple, and works perfectly as a representation of the type of work I want to create: playful, clean, and bold.

The work I create under Chikiin’s label is filled with bright colors and fun character designs. These illustrations, however, aren’t exclusive to my work for Chikiin, and I intend to include some of the same whimsy in the work I create professionally.
